The scarcity of food and raw materials as one of the central issues of the future – and from it the mission to connect science and business.

2020

The institute describes E-Commerce 3.0. In the same year the flagship project PhysICAL starts, with the pilot Supply Chain 3.0.

8 November 2022

#AUFF – Austrian Ukrainian Future Forum at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, conceived and organised by the institute.

  • Speakers included the Ambassador of Ukraine to Austria, the State Secretary for Digitalisation, Andreas Helbl (CES clean energy solutions) and, for the institute, Doz. Mag. Alexander Nikolaus Stelzer, LL.M. LL.M. Ph.D.
  • His talk “Digital technologies to secure basic supply in global trade” presented the institute’s findings and approaches.
  • The topic was how a trade route between Ukraine and Austria can strengthen both countries sustainably.

eCommerce Day of Handelsverband – Austrian Retail Association: a talk on how small and medium-sized retailers from Austria can succeed internationally.

2025

PhysICAL concludes. On 11 September 2025 Doz. Mag. Alexander Nikolaus Stelzer, LL.M. LL.M. Ph.D. and Sandra Stein (Fraunhofer Austria) presented the PhysICAL success story at the Technology Talks Austria in the MuseumsQuartier Vienna, in the workshop “Research to Impact”.
